SUMMARY

"AN ACT CREATING THE TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, PROVIDING FOR ITS POWERS, STRUCTURE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES"

Also known as: Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994 or the "TESDA Act of 1994"

This Act provides technical education and skills development opportunities to the development of high-quality Filipino middle-level manpower with the active participation of the private enterprises (e.g. those in the production, manufacturing, processing, repacking or assembly of goods). tThe TESDA Board shall have one woman representative from the employer/industry organization, one from the labor sector, and one from the national associations of private technical-vocational education and training institutions.
