This publication is intended as a concise reference material for use of baranggay officials in dealing with VAW cases as stipulated in RA 9262 or the "Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2005." Gender-responsive governance at work
The case studies document the experiences of LGUs in different regions and in different levels of local governance. They are regarded as good practices in gender mainstreaming and were compiled to stress the importance of addressing gender issues in relation to development. The case studies provide important information and insights regarding the implementation of the GAD budget policy at the local level, strategies for and future outcomes of gender mainstreaming, and areas for future action.
