GREAT WOMEN PROJECT MOU SIGNING. Sec. Romulo S. Neri, National Economic and Development Authority Director General and H. E. Peter Sutherland, Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines formalized the agreement between the Philippine government and the government of Canada through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) on the implementation of the Gender Responsive Economic Actions for the Transformation of Women or GREAT Women Project during the Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony held last November 8, 2006 at the Richmonde Hotel in Pasig City.
The GREAT Women Project aims to support and promotethe economic empowerment of women, especially those in microenterprises, by contributing to the creation of a gender-responsive enabling environment for microenterprise development.
